This year, the Hungarian Cultural Days in Timișoara will offer a program more varied than ever. This time, the organizers, Bastion Association, have extended their duration to five days. The series of events has two main objectives, on the one hand, it wants to present the values of the Hungarian community in the city through dozens of events in different locations, and on the other, to create an opportunity for bands, singers, artists, performers and exhibitors from outside our country to enliven the artistic and public life of Hungary already and rich cultural and artistic life of the city. Supported by the European Capital of
Culture Program, the event will offer experiences for all ages and for a wide range of visitors.
The joint celebration of Hungarians in Timișoara started seven years ago and has developed, grown and created its own traditions year after year. For example, the opening gala at the Opera House, the atmosphere of the great concerts in the Opera Square, the fair in Libertății Square or the spectacular series of historical recreation events in Huniade Castle Park. All these will take place again this year. The main stage will feature the best in their genre, including Deák Bill Gyula, the king of the blues, Republic, one of the star bands of the 90s, Vincze Lilla, multiple EMeRTon winner,
Vintage Dolls, Mariann Falusi and the Sárik Péter trio, as well as the
world-renowned Budapest Gipsy Orchestra.
Once again, we will be able to hear Cári Tibor, and the talented young musicians from Timisoara Sleeping Insomnia and 8 Lights Minutes will also perform. Concerts will be accompanied by fire juggling, baroque dancers and a spectacular gala folk dancing in the city centre, but there will also be programs for smaller groups, such as book launches, talks on the theme of „The wine tastings and film screenings, all timed to bring the audience together. coincide with the long weekend.
